ECSA & Mudhead Win Gold at 2009 Key West Race Week

 Primal Scream win Class 1 PHRF and PHRF Boat of the Week at KWRW
Mudhead Steve Stollman, who keeps his C&C115 racing all year round up and down the East Coast, won Class 1 PHRF and PHRF Boat of the Week at Key West Race Week.   Steve usually races the summers with the Mudheads, then does Annapolis and the Miami circui in the Fall and Wintert.  Nice to be retired with a passion!  Read his report on what it takes to build a champion.: article

Heavy Air Forces Cancellation of Day 1 Races Full Report

As usual, Key West Race Week attracted a strong fleet with 262 boats in 16 classes, spread over 4 Divisions (Race Circles). Organizer Premiere Racing conducted 10 races over five days (in spite of less than cooperative weather the first half of the week) on the azure waters off the southernmost point of the USA. Acura Key West 2008, presented by Nautica, was among the strangest and most challenging in the 21-year history of the regatta.

ECSA’s Chief Handicapper Linc Schoenberger (Wyliecat 30, OneUp), won a convincing first place (out of 10 boats) in PHRF 6, the smallest of the PHRF classes with four 1st's, three 2nd's & one 3rd. ( Division 4)

2007 racing got a jump-start in Key West Monday, January 15. A 20 year milestone celebrats a field boasting entries from a record matching 20 different nations and over 30 US states. The afterguard rosters read like an America’s Cup and Volvo Race all star team with the likes of Butterworth, Bekking, Coutts, Pepper, Read, Celon, Whidden, Brun, de Ridder and Beashel, to name but a few.
