Sunday 10/03/04

This past Sunday, Jeff & I went for an afternoon sail. We set the spinnaker in a 10 to 12 knot northeast breeze near the mouth of the Mystic River and held it for five miles all the way to NL Dumping Ground. Three quarters of a mile short the wind nearly died and it took a good bit of time to finally round. At the time, 1345 hours, it seemed a new wind was trying to establish itself though to no avail. Concerned about the nascent ebb sweeping us towards the race, we set the iron-jib and motored to West Harbor where we found sufficient wind for the remainder of the sail home. On Monday, I began the disassembly of SeTherin in preparation for bringing her home this coming week.
