Divine intervention is the best reason I can think of for the success of this year’s regatta. The 22nd Mid-Winters was extraordinary. The wind was strong, shifty and puffy, yet consistent, requiring serious effort, while allowing strategic and tactical decisions to govern performance. Gold Fleet was hotly contested. Joe Waters and Chip Crawford sailed Buckwheat to victory with only one bullet to their credit. Congratulations Joe! Link to full story

Last weekend more than seventy people arrived at the UKSC for the Region 3 Catalina 22 Fun-n-Sun Regatta. The event began Friday with a special night race in which six boats sailed a course set out by glow sticks.
